I had a marathon weekend with 24 boxes from 4th to 7th. I tackled
boxes in Tacoma and Seattle WA and made a return quest to Priest
Point in Olympia WA. I got skunked there last time. This time I did
find "Thanksgiving" box ( yummy pie in the rain) but still am a Loon
less Boxer. Thunder threatened and rain ate my clue sheet. Perhaps
a third time will be a charm. I did find a great "walking and poking
stick"
Totally missed the "Slug" box in Lincoln Park. This was a good thing
as I had found Modern Gypsy's "Wizard Hitchhiker" in the "Stump"
box.
The Wizard had been going round and round the park. Slug was going to
be my last box in the park and therefore Wizards new home. Because I
missed slug Wizard now resides north from Lincoln Park in another
city park.
Cheers

Hehe you *have* been busy. I saw part of your 'trail' this weekend...
Spotted your mark in Redmond, and I just now got back from St Edwards. =D

I place my clue sheets in page protectors in a flexible soft plastic binder both to keep them safe from the elements and to keep records. The binder is light and easy to carry, and I keep a pencil case inside with a couple pens, mechanical pencils and lead, eraser, my compass, a small ruler, and sticky notes -- everything you need for a successful hunt protected and at the ready. And best of all, with the exception of the page protectors, everything came from the dollar store!

Hi all,
We attempted to find the Lost Loon boxes yesterday (22 Jul) with no
luck after LOTS of searching!!! We left no stone unturned. Did
notice a lot of damage to the trail at different areas and MANY,
MANY passersby. Is it possible that they were removed? Also,
noticed that there is a 'trail group' that cleans up the trail
weekly so wonder if they came across it? We, too, found the 1st
Thanksgiving quite readily. Also, found the Tacoma Nature Center's
yesterday, too--without a hitch!
